How do you know when an outdoor cat has a UTI?
RunningBear asked:
I know indoor cats often stop using their litter boxes.
I know indoor cats often stop using their litter boxes.
What indicators might you see with an outdoor cat, who does his business outside? Is there any way of keeping an eye on this aspect of their health?
My cat has no history of UTIs but I never EVER see him drink and I worry. Also he’s been more vocal than usual lately and I’m not sure if it means anything.
Thanks.
He has no symptoms - there’s nothing wrong with him.
I just want to know what I should look out for.
Thanks.

You don’t and that’s a big problem. Cats will hide pain and you may not know it till he’s really sick or he just disappears and goes off and dies.
