Can a cats health be affected by bringing over another cat often?

I have a 1 1/2 year old cat who has had the house to himself for a year. Recently, our new roommate brought a 5 month old cat along with him. At first, my cat didn’t like the other, but they seem to be getting along better now. My roommates girlfriend likes to bring her 4 month old kitten over often, and my cat is afraid of him. Whenever he is over, my cat growls and gets in a bad mood. Is it bad that she brings her cat over often? And could it affect my cats health by bringing the kitten over? My cat has been acting differently since the new cat has lived here, he is outside often and rarely comes in. Anything I should do to help things go back to how they were? Thanks!
