I have a cat who is about 15 years old. For the past few months, she’s starting to go to the bathroom on random places on the floor and throwing up nearly everything she eats. Is this because of old age? Should we get her put to sleep or just take her to the vet to see if something else is wrong?

I know that i posted something like this not that long ago but My cat wont eat drink or use its litterbox. its very weak and skinny but strangly only threw up normal stuff like it does when it has a cold or something. I already called the vet his appointment is next Thursday.

The question would be that he has a hairball stuck in his throat and he can’t get it out. He keeps trying to hack it up. He has been trying on and off since last night when he came back. If I pat him on the back he tries very hard.

Should I be doing this?

Any ideas to help my poor kitty get it out?

Okay our cat has been acting kinda werid lately like she will meow and hiss at us if we like kinda pet close to her back end, like if you pet her right above her tail, she will meow or hiss and like she is fixed and she isn’t pregnant, Do you guys have any idea what might be wrong, We were thinking that maybe she had something wrong with her tail or it was broken and we thought she might be constapated and that might be causing her to hurt down there? Do you guy have any Idea what this is?

She isn’t an outdoor kittie but we do have 2 other cats and one some times likes to play a little ruff with her so it could be a bite?
They are also declawed

On 6-1-08 my cat started showing odd signs. My usually hyper cat was just acting lazy. I thought nothing of it because well its a cat, but this morning on 6-2-08 my cat was listliss and just laying down mowing. About an hour later she started to bleed from her rectum. I took her to the vet and the vet has been pumping her with steroids, vitamin k, and fluids. The vet has also ran blood tests, coagulant tests, running a cathetar and using a heating pad. The vet is clueless about her condition because she hasn’t thrown up, there is just blood from the rectum but not her stool and all the tests have come back fine. I am a medical assistant, but this is so overwhelming. I love my cat more than anything and I just wanted some tips, advice or even support would be great. I also should mention she was diagnosed with feline leukemia, but none of her symptoms are related to that. We have also checked for poisons around the house, but it is hard when it is a cat. PLEASE HELP I BEG YOU.
Actually, my vet said that he was clueless. I have run up a pretty hefty bill and they are running every test. Kidney disease came back negative.

to answer some of the questuins asked:. it is a diffrent meow. and ifeed her twice a day half a can of canned food. the owners said that was what they fed her. i feed her fancy feast. i have switched to a food more fit for kittens so i hope that would help. if anyone could maybe tell me if im feeding her enough. her meowing the way she does is only when she thinks i have food. when she thinks i have food she will try to climb up my boddy to get to it. am ifeeding her enough? is that a sign.

i know my daughter in law posted a question not long ago about her cat peeing on her bed. someone suggested butter on the cats feet as a way to clean and relax (it didn’t work).
the cats been moved quite frequently. and spent sometime riding cross country in a big truck.
but the cat also vomits frequently. he was vetted just before they moved here to TN and had a UTI which has cleared up.
the cat is about 2 1/2 yrs, and she got him from a pet store (yuck i know, but she didn’t know how bad that could be). he’s never been tested for Feline Leukemia.
he has a beautiful velvety coat.
what are the symptoms for Fe. luke?
we’re going to have some blood work etc done, but right after the holidays plus my car breaking down, has limited our funds until next week. he doesn’t seem distressed. eating and drinking normally. other than fe. luke, what should i ask my vet to test for?
the cat has never been outside except on a leash when they were in the truck. he’s not in a truck anymore. they moved here a few weeks before Christmas.
and “K” keeps the litter box immaculate.
because he also used MY bed as a litter box, he’s now restricted to their room.
